I guess we all have different opinion when it comes to development
and what ManageEngine should focus on.
We have both used the API to build features around ServiceDesk plus
that fits our organizations (not sure if others would have needed the
same features) but we have also purchased 3rd party products that have
been build around the API.
Outlook plug-ins for ServiceDesk plus is one of those nice little
tools that make extra value to us and is built by using the API. http://www.vlink.is/V-Technician.aspx
I think better API around ServiceDesk will allow many companies to
build their own feature or function and either share it with the
community or make it avaliable at low cost.
